Model Collaborators
This project is coordinated by Clark Evans (NCAR). Significant computational, technical, and developmental support is provided by Bob Hart (Florida St. Univ.). Additional potential collaborators are actively encouraged to contact us at acevans-at-met.fsu.edu. Others who have provided support in the form of debugging and scripting inspiration include Ray Hawthorne (Weather Central, Inc.), Shane Young (Florida St. Univ.), Henry Winterbottom (Florida St. Univ.), Donald Van Dyke (Florida St. Univ.), and Irv Watson (NWS WFO Tallahassee, FL).
Background Support
The WRF-ARW User's Guide from version 2.1 onward has proven instrumental in the initial setup and tweaking of the model. Initial inspiration for the real-time 72 hr runs performed elsewhere on this site was provided by the UCAR/ASP 2006 Summer Colloquium entitled "The Challenge of Convective Forecasting." Lessons learned and experience gained from that colloquium are used to this day in designing effective modeling systems for this and other modeling efforts here at FSU.
